Evaluations

The Spring Season kicks off with our annual player evaluations for players in the Juniors and Majors Division. The 2023 Evaluation Day will be held at the Andover High School Field House on Sunday, March 26 at the following times:

Juniors (Grades 3/4)
4:30-5:45 PM

Majors (Grades 5/6)
6:00-7:15 PM

NOTE: SENIORS EVALUATIONS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED

If you are unable to attend the assigned time slot, e-mail registrar@andoversoftball.org to make alternate arrangements.

For those new to AGSL or Evaluation Day, this is not a tryout so there’s nothing for your player to worry about, it’s just an opportunity for our coaches to assess skill levels so we can build balanced teams for the season. 

What Players Should Bring

Players should bring their bat, glove, and helmet. If your player will not have access to that equipment for Evaluation Day, e-mail registrar@andoversoftball.org ahead of time and we can make arrangements to use AGSL equipment. 

Players should wear comfortable but warm clothing as it may be a little chilly in the field house.

Players should NOT wear softball cleats.

Players can bring a water bottle.

What Coaches Should Bring

Download and complete the following:

CORI Form Also bring a printed copy of the front of your drivers license.

Arrival

Please enter at the Field House doors closest to the tennis courts.

You will be asked to register for your player’s Evaluation Number Bib. Please assist you player in attaching this bib to their clothing in the Front. 

NOTE: Please make sure players have used the bathroom before coming to the evaluation since there may not be access to the fieldhouse bathrooms.
