Grades: 5th & 6th (NOTE: Although not anticipated at this time, depending on affiliated towns, there is a possibility that AGSL could adopt age-based rosters for Majors (12 and under as of 9/1/2023) based on USA Softball's new age classifications)

Season: Mid-April to Mid-June

Description: The move from Juniors to Majors will really show your player how much fun softball can be. The players are starting to mature a little, and the game gets a little faster and cleaner as the players start to learn their positions and see live pitching more and more. The key positions of pitcher and catcher start to take on more focus during the games and stealing second base is now a possibility. We look for players to learn some of the finer points of the game. Teamwork starts to show through as players tend to be a little more focused on what is going on during the game and cheer on their teammates to help the team and we see some players step into leadership roles.

Player evaluations are held prior to the season to aid with forming balanced teams. Click Here for Majors Division Rules
