Preseason Indoor Practice This Sunday (4/11)

Team Rosters will be sent out this week for the Minors, Juniors, Majors and Senior Divisions, and we will be having our first practices as teams this Sunday, April 11, at the Andover High School Field House. (Note: The Tee Ball division season will start on Monday 4/26 with more details to come this week.)

Each division will have a timeslot for an indoor practice much like the evaluations but each team will have its own individual practice to help the girls get to know their coaches and teammates.

Practice Times
12:00pm – 1:00pm – Minors 1st/2nd graders

1:15pm – 2:45pm – Juniors 3rd/4th graders

3:00pm – 4:30pm – Majors 5th/6th graders

4:30pm – 6:00pm – Seniors 7th/8th graders

We ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your division’s timeslot, but no earlier, and wait outside until the registration process is ready for you to come into the field house.

Everyone will need to check in with the registration table.

If you have yet to complete a COVID waiver and a Photo Release for your player, you will be asked to do so. Click here to download the documents, which you can complete ahead of time. 

Practice Schedule
There will be a 10 minute intro/warmup with the Age Group Coordinator and Coaches. Each team will rotate through the hitting area in 20 minute timeslots (4 team divisions). The coaches will do batting practice with their own teams in the batting cage and others will work with the girls on the tees and doing soft toss. The teams not in the hitting area will be in their own areas working on throwing and fielding drills.

Parents should meet their players at the end of their timeslot. The players will be exiting at the far door of the field house similar to last week’s evaluations.

Head Coaches, Assistants, Volunteers
All head and assistant coaches and volunteers are required to fill out the CORI form and bring it with them including a copy of the front of your driver’s license. Click here to download the forms. We will also have copies of the forms at the registration table that can be filled out.

Also, please complete the USA Softball registration as soon as possible and complete the required Safesport education units. Click here to find out more information about the requirements.

Donated Equipment Day – April 10
We had a few equipment donations last week, and we will be at shed behind the Andover High Varsity Field on Saturday morning, April 10 between 10am and 11:30am so that players who need equipment can come and choose from the donations. There are plenty of helmets, several bats, some cleats and gloves available on a first come first served basis.

For first-time players, players who have grown a little, or the younger groups, this is a chance to get some free equipment to get ready for the season.

We will also accept additional donations on Saturday and Sunday.
