Fall Season

AGSL enters teams in the Middle Essex Fall League run by USA Softball of Massachusetts.

Teams are put together for each age group which is based on birth year and not grade as in the In-Town Spring season.

It is a separate registration and the players have different uniforms and travel to other towns in and around Essex County and also parts of Middlesex County.

Doubleheader games are played on Saturdays against a single team. Games are often in the morning but start times vary.

For 2021, the five-week regular season starts on Saturday, September 11. October 16 is a make-up date. If there are no make-up games, two weeks of playoffs will begin October 16. The game length is no new inning after 1 hour 30 minutes (as opposed to 1 hour 45 minutes in the summer).

AGSL is seeking to field Fall Ball teams in the 10U, 12U, and 14U divisions. We will need enough coaches, pitchers and willing catchers at each level to field a team. We are currently accepting signups to be placed on a waitlist so we can see if there is enough interest at the various age levels. There is no cost to sign up for the waitlist. Fees (likely to be $99 or less) will only be due if teams are formed and your player is placed on a roster. Signing up for the waitlist does not guarantee your player a roster spot. As this is a competitive league and player safety is a consideration, priority will be given to returning players. Click here to sign up for Fall Ball consideration.
