AGSL enters multiple teams into the Middle Essex Summer League run by USA Softball of Massachusetts.

Travel teams are put together for each age group which is based on birth year and not grade as in the In-Town Spring season. AGSL places one or more teams in the 10U, 12U, 14U, and 18U age divisions depending on enrollment and qualified coaches. 

Games are played twice a week on Mondays through Thursdays so you can enjoy both summer nights on the diamond and whatever summer weekend plans you may have!

Players receive full uniforms–including jerseys with their names on the back!

Summer travel softball is more competitive relative to the spring. There are higher expectations for commitment and attendance but, vacations can be worked around if well communicated in advance to coaches. Jerseys (with names and numbers), pants, socks, and belts will be provided to each player. Tryouts are a possibility depending on registration numbers and the number of teams AGSL enters into the league.

Run by USA Softball of Massachusetts, the Middle Essex season usually runs from the last week in June through the first week in August. There are two games a week and additional practices. All games are played on evenings from Monday-Thursday. Practice nights vary by coach and could include a Sunday evening.

Home games are played in Andover, and road games are played in towns in and around Essex County and also parts of Middlesex County.
